Deepak Chopra says that the body is the greatest pharmacy there is and that you are naturally equipped to heal yourself mentally and physically. Through healing meditation, which involves eliminating negative thoughts while channeling positive energy inward, you can take care of your physical and mental issues. This position has been supported by studies done by the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and the University of Wisconsin’s Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience.
Meditative healing comes in several forms, including mantras and visualization. These two often work hand in hand. For instance, you can recite a mantra while imagining your diseased body organ bathed in white light.
Another type of meditative healing is spiritual healing through meditation. This method involves appealing to a higher power to heal through meditation. It may pertain to self-healing or a separate subject. In the case of the latter, it means channeling the energy from a spiritual source and then sending it to the person who needs it. The channel is normally a person, often a healer, and the energy is transferred by way of his or her hands. To clarify, the healer isn’t the source of the energy; it merely comes through him or her.
According to the Law of Attraction, it’s extremely beneficial to learn how to work with this universal energy as it provides you with a very powerful healing tool that you can take advantage of for your entire life. This energy raises your energetic vibration and consciousness, delivering healing on all possible levels—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. As it happens, the higher your consciousness is, the faster and more effectively the Law of Attraction also responds to you.
Spiritual healing through meditation is known to help with physical and emotional problems as well. One of its goals is to resolve problems, ordinarily starting in the mind, in order for you to regain balance and move forward in your spiritual journey. It is believed that physical as well as emotional ailments can hamper your spiritual progress, hence the need for cleansing before spiritual healing itself takes place.
Sickness is usually an indicator of something off or imbalanced. By means of spiritual healing through meditation, you can work out what’s going on with your body, and clear your energy channels of obstructions brought forth by disease, stress, or anxiety. By allowing energy to flow freely through the multiple levels of your physical and mental being, meditation is able to promote true healing.

I’ve read a little of Deepak Chopra’s literature since it is quite common in pop culture and he has some interesting and helpful advice. I’ve done mindfulness meditation but I haven’t tried this type of meditation for spiritual healing, so I’ll have to give this a try. Thanks for the interesting info.
